An oval Tea Caddy veneered in Satinwood, with inlay together with a charming painted panel depicting dancing Putti flanked by swags.
Attractive painted decoration of flowers to the lid edge, and a string of pearls painted around a wood inlay panel on the top.
English c.1790.
Some old repairs but left mainly “as bought” with a simple clean and wax polish…
Working lock with key. Remnants of original ‘lead’ lining.
The lid doesn’t fit tight to the main body as per photos.
12.5 cms high.
15 cms wide.
