A nice example of a KUNDO ( Kieninger & Obergfell ) WORLD CLOCK. West German.
This 1950’s example has an 8 day mechanical movement as opposed to the later battery ones.
The Centre is shown as being the North Pole, with the world spreading out towards the chapter ring.
The outer ring behind the dial rotates with the hands to show the timing in other time zones, and also indicates day and night. This can be set by a button to the rear.
It is believed the design had been taken from a 1930’s original which used Berlin as the base time line as opposed to GMT.
In good original condition and keeping good time.
